Compassionate therapy in Lubbock and online across Texas, for ADHD, autistic, and other neurodivergent adults looking to build authentic, sustainable lives.

Having Autism/AuDHD as an adult can feel isolating and overwhelming. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

A girl hiking on a narrow dirt trail in a dense forest of tall evergreen trees, wearing a pink shirt, black leggings, a black jacket tied around her waist, pink sneakers, and carrying a gray backpack.

Some days feel like stepping onto a stage before you’re ready. You rehearse what to say, monitor your eye contact, and keep your hands still, even when your body wants to move. By the time you get home, the lights go out—masking has drained every ounce of energy, and you feel like an exposed nerve. You can’t help but notice the tag in your shirt, the brightness of the kitchen lights, the hum of a fan that no one else seems to hear. But the quiet after a long day brings a flood of replay and self-doubt as you question every interaction and if you put on a proper performance to appear “normal”.

I understand this kind of exhaustion. You are not “too much,” and you don’t have to perform here. In therapy, we’ll unlearn the shame around masking, map your energy and sensory needs, and create supports for communication and daily routines that fit you. Together we’ll build a life that works with your nervous system—not against it.

While neurodivergent individuals may require support, an affirming provider does not assume that they are inferior or need to be fixed. Affirming providers also center the client’s expertise on their own life and their lived experience.” - Amy Marschall, Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy: What Every Mental Health Provider Needs to Know (2025)
