Compassionate therapy in Lubbock and online across Texas, for ADHD, autistic, and other neurodivergent adults looking to build authentic, sustainable lives.
Therapy for Adults across Texas
Having a brain that works differently from those around you can be hard without the right tools to help accommodate your daily life. Therapy can give you those tools.
Counseling helps you name what’s heavy, lighten it, and move forward with purpose. I bring organized sessions, clear takeaways, and accommodations that make the work accessible and effective.
Hi, I’m Madison Motley, a licensed professional counselor associate, who supports neurodiverse adults at all stages of their journeys, specializing in times of transition, stress, and new identity formation.
When everyday tasks feel heavy—emails, deadlines, decisions—it can be hard to see a way forward. You’re not alone.
Perhaps you’re questioning your identity, late-identified, or self-diagnosed—and unsure if you “count.” You do.
I was late-diagnosed with ADHD and understand how clarifying—and relieving—it is to have language for what’s hard and why. My practice is neurodiversity-affirming and practical: organized sessions, clear takeaways, and accommodations like visual agendas, brief breaks, and simplified forms.
You’re in the right place for support that respects your wiring and helps life feel more doable.
My approach and style
You can expect a warm, steady presence and language that respects your identity. I pair compassionate listening with concrete tools—routines that hold, decision-making frameworks, and regulation skills—so progress is measurable and sustainable. We adapt the process to your sensory, communication, and executive-function needs; there’s no pressure to perform here.
Therapy with me is a partnership. We clarify what matters most, remove what’s in the way, and translate our conversations into specific actions you can practice between sessions. Over time, clients often report less severe symptoms of burnout, more confidence, and a greater ability to show up as their full selves at school, work, and in relationships.

I often use a blend of many counseling theories and techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS). In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress.
Who I work with
I work with adults and young adults across Texas—often late-identified or self-identified as neurodivergent—navigating college, early careers, independent living, and changing relationships. Many are living with ADHD, autism/AuDHD, learning differences, chronic health or disability-related needs, anxiety, masking/burnout, and executive-function challenges.
You’re welcome here whether you’re certain about your identity or still exploring it. Diagnosis is not required. I offer telehealth statewide and structured sessions to respect energy, sensory needs, and capacity.

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy is “An approach to care that recognizes that differences in neurotype are simply part of the range of human experience. While neurodivergent individuals may require support, an affirming provider does not assume that they are inferior or need to be fixed. Affirming providers also center the client’s expertise on their own life and their lived experience.” - Amy Marschall, Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy: What Every Mental Health Provider Needs to Know (2025)

We’ll keep things organized and low-pressure: check-in on what brought you to therapy, your goals and current stressors, and what has or hasn’t helped before. I’ll explain confidentiality, policies, and how I work, then we’ll co-create an initial plan—frequency, supports for executive functioning, and one doable step to try between sessions. You’re also always welcome to ask questions at any time.

Every client is different, so it is hard to put a number on how many sessions you may need. In our work together, we will create a treatment plan and goals to monitor your progress which can inform the length of our time together. Schedule a consultation with me to get started!
Disclaimer: as an LPC-Associate, it is my ethical obligation to monitor client progress towards goals and my therapeutic effectiveness to ensure clients are benefiting from therapy. I will not keep a client in therapy if there is no therapeutic benefit from their receiving my services. Additionally, if at any time a client wishes to discontinue counseling services, that is within their right.
