college life therapist TX

College life can feel chaotic and discouraging. You don’t have to manage it alone.

A study desk with textbooks, papers, highlighters, and pens, an open laptop, and a partially crumpled paper. In the background, a green metal chair is against a brick wall with green foliage.

College years can feel like sprinting in sand. Canvas pings, unread emails, group chats, and shifting deadlines all compete for your attention, and somehow you’re still missing the one thing that’s due today. You tell yourself, “Everyone else seems to have the handbook,” and the shame spiral starts: If I cared enough, I’d keep up. Routines feel fragile; motivation comes in bursts and disappears when you need it most.

I understand how heavy that can feel. You are not lazy or careless—you’re navigating a system that moves fast and heavily relies on executive function skills. In therapy, we’ll lower the noise and build supports that fit your life: simple planning that survives real weeks, task-start tools, time-awareness anchors, and steady check-ins. Together, we’ll make school demands workable, one step at a time.

I’ll explain confidentiality, policies, and how I work, then we’ll co-create an initial plan—frequency, supports for executive functioning, and one doable step to try between sessions. You’re also always welcome to ask questions at any time.
