Compassionate therapy in Lubbock and online across Texas, for ADHD, autistic, and other neurodivergent adults looking to build authentic, sustainable lives.
Having ADHD as an adult can feel isolating and overwhelming. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
Starting your day feels like climbing a mountain. Your alarm goes off in the morning, but you dread getting out of bed, so you press snooze a few times too many. Now you’re running late, and in comes shame, creeping in saying, “I am so lazy and irresponsible.” You feel so frustrated that all the suggestions on how to be “more productive, organized, and on time” from friends and family have never stuck with you. Routines feel like a myth because you have to think about and force yourself to complete every task just to get ready for your day. But sometimes those tasks you need to get done become overshadowed by your inner voice narrating multiple other things you could be doing instead, making it that much harder to focus.
I understand these ADHD struggles, because I’ve experienced them too. And in case you haven’t heard it before, you are not lazy, irresponsible, or anything else that shame and guilt have tried to label you as. In therapy, we will work to combat that negative self-talk, find and create tools that help you where you need them, and reconnect with yourself and with what it means to have ADHD.
Hi, I’m Madison Motley (you can call me Maddie), a licensed therapist who supports adults with ADHD in reconnecting with themselves and finding tools that work for their unique wiring.
Therapy turns overwhelm into a workable plan—understanding what’s happening, why it’s hard, and what to do next. I pair warm, collaborative care with concrete ADHD tools so change is sustainable in real life.

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy is “An approach to care that recognizes that differences in neurotype are simply part of the range of human experience. While neurodivergent individuals may require support, an affirming provider does not assume that they are inferior or need to be fixed. Affirming providers also center the client’s expertise on their own life and their lived experience.” - Amy Marschall, Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy: What Every Mental Health Provider Needs to Know (2025)

We’ll keep things organized and low-pressure: check-in on what brought you to therapy, your goals and current stressors, and what has or hasn’t helped before. I’ll explain confidentiality, policies, and how I work, then we’ll co-create an initial plan—frequency, supports for executive functioning, and one doable step to try between sessions. You’re also always welcome to ask questions at any time.

Every client is different, so it is hard to put a number on how many sessions you may need. In our work together, we will create a treatment plan and goals to monitor your progress which can inform the length of our time together. Schedule a consultation with me to get started!
Disclaimer: as an LPC-Associate, it is my ethical obligation to monitor client progress towards goals and my therapeutic effectiveness to ensure clients are benefiting from therapy. I will not keep a client in therapy if there is no therapeutic benefit from their receiving my services. Additionally, if at any time a client wishes to discontinue counseling services, that is within their right.
